Yoga Class Descriptions
Yoga Basics is perfect for those who are new to yoga or for people who want to get back into the practice! We walk with you every step of the way so you learn the basics of yoga, along with proper alignment and breath awareness. Yoga is proven to reduce the feelings of stress, relieve pain, build strength and lung capacity, relieve symptoms of chronic dis-ease, increase flexibility, promote better sleep ... and so much more!
Stretch & Restore is a feel good yoga class with gentle, mindful stretches, focused breathing, and comfy restorative poses to help people release holding patterns, tension, anxiety, and stress. This practice is done on the floor using props and blankets. We finish the class with a body sensing guided meditation that soothes the nervous system, fosters the relaxation response, boosts the immune system. and renews the spirit.
Yoga Flow synchronizes one's breathing with traditional yoga poses, and participants may move from one position to the next on an inhale or exhale. The sequences are designed create a fluid transition from one pose to another, almost like a dance. Breathing exercises, warming up the spine, cool down and savasana provide a blissful yoga experience.
Pure Bliss Yoga - healing body, mind and soul. This energetic therapeutic yoga practice helps individuals achieve greater strength, balance, flexibility, range of mobility, lung capacity, strength and healthy energy flow. We assist our clients to develop the relaxation response, relieve stress, recover from injuries, illness, surgery or in the management of symptoms of pain or chronic dis-ease.
Warrior Strong Flow Yoga is a strenuous yoga practice. This class is a slow, fluid vinyasa style of yoga in which we build incredible strength with planks and other weight bearing yoga poses, while holding asana poses for longer periods of time. We strive to learn more advanced yoga poses and sequences as the class progresses.
Restorative Yoga is the ultimate relaxation and renewal class. Some call it "Sleep and Snore" class. This practice is done on the floor using props and blankets. Comfortable restorative poses help people release holding patterns, tension, anxiety, and stress. Guided breathing and cueing allows for a gentle, peaceful yoga experience that fosters the relaxation response, boosts the immune system, and helps people let go of the worries of the day.
Breath & Guided Meditation has many healing benefits. The goal of Pranayama, breathing practice, is to connect your body and mind. It also supplies your body with oxygen while removing toxins. Yoga Nidra, guided meditation, is a systematic form of guided relaxation with the client resting comfortably in a supportive pose. Calms nervous system, relieves anxiety & stress, better sleep.
